Julissa Avila, a senior at Farmersville High, won the girls varsity 3,200 meters in 11:50.76 at the Buchanan Distance Classic at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. Avila also ran 5:28.68 in the 1,600 meters to finish 17th overall. She also placed second in her 800-meter section in 2:29.69 and was 11th overall.
